Scott Philip, affectionately known as Scotty among his friends, has been a fixture of the Northern end of the Gold Coast since 1991. A true local, he attended both Coombabah State Primary and High School, graduating in 1996. His roots run deep in the community, reflecting his strong connection and commitment to the area.

Beginning his professional journey as an apprentice automotive mechanic, Scott's fascination with cars and mechanics only deepened over time. Logical, analytical and endlessly curious, he is always eager to unravel the mysteries of how things work. For the past decade, Scott has been immersed in local government work, where he has been instrumental in delivering small construction projects and managing the city's service-related contracts. Through this experience, Scott has gained unique insights into how government contracts are awarded and managed. He firmly believes that his skills and understanding will enable him to ensure that the state delivers projects that provide genuine value for the residents of Bonney and Queensland.

Concerned by what he perceives as wasteful spending by the state government, Scott is passionate about bringing fiscal responsibility and accountability to Queensland politics. He believes that many politicians have lost touch with the realities of everyday life and the needs of their constituents. "We don’t need career politicians," Scott asserts. "We need everyday people representing the people of Queensland, individuals who understand the struggles of real life and the implications of their decisions on everyday Queenslanders."

Having witnessed firsthand the shortcomings of the justice system, particularly in Labrador where he has resided for the past 15 years, Scott is deeply committed to tackling crime and ensuring the safety of Queenslanders. Proud to be representing the One Nation team in the upcoming state election for Bonney, Scott firmly believes that their policies on crime prevention will make a tangible difference in the lives of all Queenslanders. His passion lies in preserving the Australian spirit, values and way of life, advocating for equal opportunities for all. He pledges to be a voice for change, asking for the support of the people of Bonney: "I’ll always have the guts to say what you’re thinking."

I’m passionate about Bonney and I’ve dedicated my career to delivering for our community.
