Andrew Elborne, was born in Brisbane and raised in a Catholic home. He attended a Catholic school until grade 10 to pursue a trade as an electrician. With over 40 years of experience, Andrew has worked on significant projects, including Parliament House in Canberra, Ergon and Energex supply authority work, and at the Tarong Power Station. His extensive career has taken him to remote towns like Mt Isa and Wickham in WA, where he and his wife had the opportunity to work in homeless shelters and as foster parents to 63 children. Andrew has also been part of peer support programs and men’s mental health groups.

Andrew is running in this election because he believes in action over promises. He feels that current politicians are more comfortable in front of the press than answering their constituents' questions. Andrew is determined to bring real-world experience and simple, transparent solutions to the table, aiming to simplify legislation and make it more accessible. He is committed to improving infrastructure, supporting trades, and enhancing community services in Burdekin.

I’m passionate about Burdekin and I’ve dedicated my career to delivering for our community.
